hi!
my 2 1/2 year old rescued pittie is, of course, the best dog ever, but I'm biased...
well mannered, well trained in many ways I'm unclear about (we're going to take training together so I can learn all he knows)....waits at the door, I exit first, basic commands and stay, plus doesn't pull on leash, and when he does, I turn and go another way, he quickly understands to follow me...
Recall...not so good, need help there
and balls, he LOVES to chase a ball, but refuses to return it. He finds a spot (always the same spot...so it's kinda like a retrieve) to chew the thing to bits...never eats it...whew!
He'll drop it when I approach. I have tried 2 balls, but probably am missing something...he'll drop one to run after the next, but no way, not bringing it back.
He chews on his antler, occasionally on his KONG, but nothing else in the house, so I'm really lucky there...
but playing fetch would be so fun!
I'll try food rewards again, maybe that will work, he loves his food.
any advice would be great.
Thanks!
