Hope is my first foster pup. She is a loving, curious and a hopeful soul who changed my attitude about pits. I had a no tolerance policy for pits because a female pit attacked my beloved miniature schnauzer/pomeranian BFF Maddy. Maddy had no chance. I later found this same pit, whose apprearance was so altered by an untreatable infection I did not recognize her, and went into rescue mode. When I found out it was the "killer" I found myself ashamed of the emotional hatred I had for her. So when a friend told me of a pit pup called Princess who was going to be destroyed if there was no foster home found, I did not hesitate to open my kitty's, 4 furbabies and husbands home to save a life. We called her baby girl and soon realized that she had no idea that life can be good. Coming from a probable puppy mill, she had no potty training, did not know how to run and play, and felt safest in a corner, hiding and unsure. I named her Hope. And I love her. And I will fullfill my promise to her that her life will be the best and that her new family will be worthy of her love. Someone must think that I can handle this amazing breed because a few weeks later I found two pit puppies abandoned on a country road and scooped them up for a ride to my home. One has already found a home and now has a big pit brother and 4 humans (two children) that love him. After 43 years, I have found my purpose.
Hope for a chance
