Echo's updated chain spot

samedi 29 novembre 2014

All sorts of new stuff for Echo this weekend!

I had gotten a lot of tools and supplies from my grandfather when I visted him a couple of weeks ago. One of the things I recieved was a 15ft chain. Its longer and a slightly higher guage than Echo's other chain, so I decided to switch it out and take advantage of the nice weather.

But the added length meant Echo would be able to wrap herself around our little tree, and thats a no-no. So, I dug up her post, and moved it so she coulnt reach the tree, nor the bush we have. My new rubber mallet (thanks Grandpa!) made sure it was nice and deep in the ground. With the helpf of some new chain linkers and swivels, also from grandpa, I went to work!

here's the new attachment part, along with some spare swivels and my wrench thing that I used to make sure everything was nice and tight.

and on the doggy end, a couple of swivels and clip finished things up.

so here's how it all looks put together. That new collar is just snazzy!

I also gave her one of the shed-antlers grandpa gave me (he has quite the collection!). Do I need to trim it down? Its just a two-pointer.

also making an appearance is Lady, the MinPin I look after sometimes. Shes a sweet old thing at 12. She, too is enjoying the warm weather.

Lady and Echo get along fine. Other than Echo sniffing her butt sometimes and air-humping (???), they pretty much ignore each other.
