I've been fostering a mama dog and her six puppies and I wanted to share them! She was found as a stray already pregnant. I had her for less than a week before she had her pups. They turned two weeks old yesterday and they are so adorable!
This is Lyra on her first full day at home with me. She's the nicest dog! She knows basic obedience, she's house trained, she doesn't pull on the leash. I've yet to see her be destructive in any way. She's almost perfect! Whoever ends up with her is going to be getting a great dog. At first meeting, she seemed to be fine with cats but after her pups were born, she has gotten really protective and that's understandable. I know she can get along with other dogs because she was at my aunt's house before I took her in with about five other dogs. But again, since her pups were born, she doesn't like mine going near her. After the puppies are gone, I'll reintroduce the dogs and cats to see how she is. I don't see her having a real problem.
The puppies at about a week and a half old. Largest to smallest: Paco, Karma, Oli, Cali, Rebel, and Ella
2 weeks old
My favorite little girl, Ella! She is the smallest and the most advanced. She walks on all four feet rather than pull herself around like her siblings. I heard her bark and growl today. She's adorable! She also has the faintest tan points that I just noticed last night in these pictures. I didn't see it before but they are definitely there!
Cali - the flashiest little girl!
Oli
Rebel was the smallest at birth but he's now passed Ella in size.
Karma is the biggest female and second largest puppy in size.
Paco - the biggest! He's such a cow. lol He also has a longer coat than the rest of the pups.
Ella and Paco - He's about twice the size of her. It's crazy!
