I have a blue nose who is 4 years old. He has become over protective since my wife and I had our second child. He is always a good dog until the late night/early morning hours. When my wife enters the room to wake me up in the morning Duke has been very aggressive by trying to block her from getting to the baby and I. He will try and block her and does not listen whatsoever during these episodes. We have gotten around it by having her come in with a treat and leading him to our back room. However this morning when my wife opened the door to enter the room he immediately growled and bit her foot. I am so concerned because we also have a 3 year old who could possibly come into our room at night and I don't want anything to happen to him. What can I do to help with this problem? Duke has always been a good dog until now and it is highly stressful.
