I have questions for any veteran or expirienced pit bull owners, and am seeking guidence, pros and cons, and tips. I recently brought home a new and young family member. He was one of 5 in an all male litter I homed from a local breeder. I Brought him home a little after 7 weeks of age he was the 1st of the litter to be homed. His name is Roman. Hes going on 12 weeks now he's learning so fast and is such a loving dog. My girlfriend and I have done vigorous researching and talking and preping for our decision on bringing home a pitbull to raise. And we are aware and dedicated to all of Roman's needs . Excercise, socialization , training , behavior, mannors, &quality food. He is currently being clicker trained and is catching on amazingly! He's fast to sit, stay, come, watch me, jump, and down. He does spectacular in car rides. He will not walk in or out of a door without first sitting down and waiting for either me or my girlfriend to walk out first. He is my first APBT I've owned. I'm keeping him intact. Period! Ok that's his background.. now to my questions. My girlfriend and I are very seriously considering bringing home one of his last 2 brothers remaining unhomed from his litter and raising two male brothers. Roman is crate trained and he is also very submissive, friendly, and a balanced pup. The new potential pup from what I remember is very mild tempered and submissive. I'm a home owner and live in a small town neighborhood in Tennessee with a half acre to accommodate excercise and play for multiple dogs. I mainly need to know how they might act as adults growing up together with getting some of the best training and socialization and time spent growing up together all the way from pups. Do you think the new pup will learn and feed off Romans positivity and obedience? also They will be house dogs and not resident dogs tied up in the backyard. My girlfriend and I are the "pack" leaders. Now I have just read too many bad stories about two male intact pit bulls living together in peace. But none I read the entire background of the owner and the pups and their background. So here's my story. And any positive input and guidence is welcome. What is your take on bringing up Roman and his brother together in the same home?
