Hello from Australia

Hi. I am a mature aged member who, by chance, rescued a tiny, starved male pit bull pup who was approx. 5 weeks at the time. Just a little bundle of bones. He needed vet care but has now grown into a handsome 14 week old cream, red nose big strong, super active boy. Through the vets I have gained info on his background and (pls excuse my ignorance-I have owned dogs all my life but not a pit) and he is game bred dog. I'll post a picture when I learn how to! He is agile and athletic an super smart. He loves everyone -human and animal he meets. We have a very large well fenced backyard and he lives with an ambully female one week younger than him. She is playful, kind and calm but has clear boundaries which he needed as his manners as he grew were appalling. They now, after much work and guidance engage in balanced appropriate play.My question is :despite his young age he seems to require lots of walks. We live in suburbia but close to a beautiful mountain and both pups-once past traffic etc. have excellent recall and off lead run/climb/sniff and explore on a daily walk for around an hour and a half. They never seem overly tired when we get home. Am I doing possible damage to their joints? They have an excellent balanced diet. Thanks in advance.
