Adding a Second Puppy

Hello -Looking for some opinions, ideas and inputs on adding a same sex pit bull to our family.I currently have a male pit bull who is just over a year old. His name is Onyx, and he is neutered. He has an amazing personality as he is dog friendly, people friendly and over all other animal friendly. He is gentle and compassionate around kids, never ever aggressive around other dogs or animals and loves everyone and anyone.I am thinking about adding another pit bull to the family. I do want to get a puppy because I am kind of picky when it comes to knowing that I am the one raising and training it. Obviously due to the breed, I like to know what my dogs have been through and getting them at as a puppy is important to me. I guess my question, and what I'm looking to get some opinions on, is whether or not I should focus on getting another male or adding a female? I have never had issues with Onyx being aggressive with other dogs(same sex or not) and I am fairly confident that it wouldn't be an issue with him, but I am also not very familiar with same breed, multi dog homes. Any advice??
