We have 5 rescue dogs. Yes, I said it. We have one male and 4 females all spayed/neutered. 2 of the females are pit breeds. All the pups get along well, but our 2 pit breeds have attacked each other twice in the last week! Some minor puncture wounds, but nothing serious, thank God! They are both 18 months old. Bailey Mystery seems to be the aggressor. Where as Leila Belle is the defender. I have gotten conflicting advice from several trainers. Some say to keep them separate at all times and others suggest using spray bottles of water to reprimand the aggressor before a fight starts and to use positive reinforcement when they are behaving. The fights have only occurred in the backyard and only when my fianc* is with them. I could really use some advice!
