Hi everyone! My family and I just got a puppy, Sophie. She's about 9 weeks and we are trying to remain very consistent with training from an early age. I'm working on trying to get her to "come" when called and "sit". I've been doing a lot of reading on trying to get her to stop biting, especially when it comes to playing with my kids. I've noticed some growling when biting or tugging on our clothes and I've read that this was normal. I'm not sure about the growling when trying to pick her up or get her from under the bed. She will put her head down and growl and bark and sometimes she will lunge to nip you. I'm wondering what would be the best method to teach her that this is not acceptable. I've also had trouble getting her to go to the bathroom outside. I have taken her outside and have waited for her to use the bathroom. When I see that she is not interested in going I will bring her in only to find that she has used the restroom. She's not on a feeding schedule, the nurse at the Vet told me it would be a good idea to allow free feeding since she is so young. Any suggestions, tips and ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
