Puppy Exercise Tips

So going through several post on many forums I've noticed a common message about regulating the exercise for puppies and making sure 4 paws stay on the ground as much as possible. This is my first time hearing such a thing and figured I could tire my soon to be puppy out doing whatever.



I searched to see if there wee any dedicated threads on this topic but could not find anything so feel free to re-direct me. Just curious what kind of play/exercise you guys recommend?



I was thinking along the lines of roughhousing, running hills, flirt pole, "chase me", etc.
