I noticed my dog could be put into a trance so that he would comply with just about anything I wanted him to do for a tiny bite of canned cat food on the end of a spoon. Then I saw this article about using food tubes with your own filling:

I ordered the tubes but in the meantime I decided to try the new fashioned baby food that comes in a tube. I found Happy Baby baby food for $1.39 a tube and tried the chicken. Magic! The same trance was recreated! A little thin...gets a little thicker when refrigerated.
My food tubes came today so I will be trying those out. Buying the baby food may be more convenient unless how thin it is becomes a problem.
