Tell me what I'm forgetting or not thinking of when it comes to taking dogs to the beach.
We went yesterday and this was the 3rd or 4th trip since November, my girl absolutely loves the beach. She smiles and prances and chases seagulls as far as her leash will allow. She makes me jog with her to get them which is hysterical.
But I feel like I'm forgetting something. She is black and gets hot. We take fresh water and I will get an umbrella for the trips that we sit down and stay longer so she will have shade. What else should I be concerned about?
Is it a huge deal that she didn't get a bath last night when I know she was pretty sandy and salty? She got a bath today and wasn't itching or anything.
Oh, and is it okay for her to swim in a pool with chlorine? Do I have to give her a bath immediately afterwards? We live in South Carolina and we'll be at the beach or pool all summer.
