Hello! I was speaking to a dog owner today who mentioned that pitbulls are prone to deadly bloat because of their wide chests. She told me that elevated food bowls alleviate digestion issues. I searched the forum for "elevated food bowl," and see a thread from 2008. The consensus then was that it was not really necessary unless the dog has a physical problem. Is that still the advice? My girl has no problem eating from a bowl from the floor, but she is a wolfer---her food is gone in seconds. Do any of you use elevated bowls for your pit, currently? Thank you.
