This is a wee bit early, but next week will be crazy and I didn't want to forget :).
I adopted J from BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter) on November 25, 2013. This has literally, in every way, been the craziest year of my life. So many highs, so many lows. Through it all, even when he was at the center of it, J was always there for me. He saved us when we were attacked by a dog; he's saved me from myself since. I don't know what I would do without him. He is my rock when Lily is having problems, when I had to put Liberty down, he is my confidant when I have no one to talk to, he is my back-up and support when I'm alone in a hotel room 500 miles from home, he is my travel buddy and made it to Arizona and back with me 5,000 miles in the middle of summer, he is my entertainer, he is my light in the darkness.
I made a video, because there just isn't any other way to say how grateful and happy I am that I have him in my life. I may have saved him from the needle that day, but he has saved me every day since. I am the lucky one.
