Do you leave your dog's collar on all the time? (Especially if they're the heavy duty, multi-layer ones like Stillwater sells.) I guess my worry is that a collar might catch on something when no one's home, but still would like her to wear her id/rabies tags since someone comes to walk her mid-day while I'm at work. We had a break-away collar for awhile that I always left on, but it came apart and the walker didn't notice/couldn't find it after retracing their route. Lola's already microchipped, but I just feel like having a collar/tags on makes it really, really super obvious to people that she's a pet and not a stray.
P.S. Apologies if this is the wrong section...I tried a variety of search phrases and couldn't find enough info. Plus Google now has me completely freaked out that she'll get caught on a door handle or something and strangle herself.
