We're having problems lately with Squirt getting over-excited in the car. Basically as soon as we get him in, he starts to whine, and eventually it turns into his horrific pig squeal/screams. It doesn't matter where we're going, when, how long the ride is, etc. The only way we can get him to settle down is by letting him stick his head out the window, but we don't do that until we're out of town because he's still really reactive to other dogs from inside the car. He can ignore them on walks, but in the car he lunges, growls, etc. I need some suggestions for how to get him to settle while in the car. Hopefully something that I can work on while I'm in the front seat and he's in the back.
