Hey guys I've raised dogs before pitbulls and other types of breeds. I was wondering if anyone has any proven training techniques for their animals? I want my puppy to be comfortable on a leash, as of right now his collar is on his neck and I haven't bought a chest harness but he hates being tugged. He's not allowed outside yet because he has 2 more sets of shots but we practice inside and in the backyard but he will not move willingly with his leash on. If we tug a little he starts rolling around like a fish out of water lol. I want him to be comfortable in a few different aspects:
being comfortable on a leash
sitting/staying
general obedience
waking by my side fully under my command with or without leash
being calm around other people and dogs
multiple voice commands
I understand a lot of this isn't achieved during the first two months of a dogs life and it takes time practice and reward. At what age should I start giving him treats and what techniques and advice do you guys have?
