Hello, I am battling an issue with my pup and it's making me very sad... I had another breed of a dog who suffered from horrible allergies and I spent a few thousand dollars on allergy tests and nothing ever helped. She lived a sad and pitiful life and I will always believe constant use of steroids played a role in it. So, I don't want to go down this path again. My pup has been feed grain-free 4 star food every since I've had him and I've been transitioning to food with fewer and fewer ingredients that can bring on issues (like potatoes). As of yesterday, I am feeding Orijen. He takes a fish oil capsule every day and I was feeding honey daily until I read that this can trigger yeast issues. So, I stopped that as of yesterday. I thought I had it kicked until he turned up with what I thought was ant or chiggar bites but when it kept getting worse, I took him to the vet and she has pronounced it as staph.

there was some discussion (ref Cosmic Charlie to adk26rn and Becki) about some successful and more reasonably priced allergy testing, detox, etc.
Is anybody familiar with this that would direct me further about it?
