We adopted two pit puppies yesterday. Born in shelter and are 9 weeks old yesterday. We have one at my house and the other at my brother in laws two doors down.
Named the tan boy Capone but needing names for the girl. Calling her precious right now but would like a strong name for her. She is brindle coloring and very sweet but timid.
She shakes anytime she is outside our house even going potty. she perks up when other pups come near by but she is scared to death of people. She loves to lay in my lap and is confident in our house after only a day but outside is not getting better. Anything I can do to help her cope and get more confidence?
Also her brother pinned her down today and started humping her face. I clapped my hands and he stopped. They are fixed but is this something I should worry about or just stop when I see it.
Any other tips would be great. I have been raised with pits, just been a while since having puppies. Also have a kitten that they all love each other. But are never together without supervision.
Started them on blue basics sensitive solution formula for puppies as the boy kept throwing up the Purina the shelter had him on. He also gets car sick anything to help with that. They have been checked at vet but forgot to ask about the car sickness.
Thanks.
