Bobo is now 7 weeks old, we are still working on house training and its going pretty good i think. My question is, I am trying to teach him to sit. However, whenever I have a treat in my hand (i fist it, so he can smell but not see it) he gets so excited it is impossible to get him to sit. I have tried to move my hand over his head till he sits, but before he sits he starts to jump up on his hind legs and bites at my hand. I am currently, walking away when he starts to bite but this seems counterproductive to trying to train him to sit. It is very important to me to have a well mannered puppy and I don't mind spending the time to work with him, I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas. I have had several pit puppies and this is how i trained them all, but Bobo becomes over excited when a treat is in hand. I try at different times of the day, after exercise, before exercise, after meals, before meals, when he wakes up. I am at a loss. He comes when called, but without being able to get him to sit, i feel that I am failing in his training. Good manners are very important to me and i know this is basic, any advice would be appreciated.
