Moving up to Open threw both of us off our game!
Yesterday, we went in and found one rat but I called a non-rat tube after that. Second run I called a non-rat tube right away. She was not into it that day and was showing minimal interest. The interest she did show was nearly identical between all of the tubes, rat or not.
Today, we were doing much better! First run we started out strong. She found the first rat with much more enthusiasm and tunneled then as I was letting her sniff about (I try to be hands off and let her nose do the work) she squatted in the corner and peed!!!! Gah!!!! I was so irritated. Not even with her but at the fact that there were newbies left and right all weekend with dogs pissing and $#@!ting in the rings so the smell was there and set the tone for it to keep happening. :/
Our last run was finally a Q! Our time was 2:29.68 out of the allowed 2:30 lmao We cut it clooossse!!! Took third place.

It was a long weekend and my confidence was shaken up until our PM run today. We had guest judges from OK in and they were a lot more strict about certain things than our clubs judges which Im thankful for honestly. A few dogs got NQ'd for various things from roughing up the judge and wrangler (me), a handler scruffing their dog and using obedience commands in the ring.
