My 8 week old pup will be coming home to me on Friday.
I plan on kennel training him.. and have plenty of experience doing so. However, I haven't had a puppy in quite some time and my current job is going to require me to be gone around 8 hours once a week. Every other day I can come home in 3 hour intervals.
My question is this... on the day he has to be kenneled for the full 8 hours, would my best option be to open up his kennel completely(remove puppy divider) and place a puppy pad on one end, and his bedding on the other.
I know this defeats the purpose of the kennel training in relation to potty training... but I don't have another option. If I still complete all other steps of kennel training the same way.... coming home, immediately taking him out, removing pad and cleaning kennel, then replacing pup divider?
Thanks everyone!!!
