We're back from Axel's first dog show...

Axel had his very FIRST real dog show on Saturday, in which he took third place in Rally Novice with a score of 92, beating his Beagle sibling by 3 points. 92 isn't too shabby for a first show, I'm happy for my boy! One leg down, 2 to go!



I took these pictures right before the dog show, we train at the dog park when it is empty. So many smells and temptations, the dogs don't even care about smells anymore... that's a big thing to say for a Beagle! Speaking of the Beagle, she got her final leg in rally novice, so she has her title now!

And the haul! Not the best picture, but I'm so proud of them I'll post it anyways. Hallie literally looks like she is crying, but she had a stomach bug the morning of the show so she was ready to go home. After lots of money and two vet visits and X-rays (no blockage, yay!), she is doing all better. That big fancy ribbon is her new title ribbon, can't wait to hang it up!
