My pup has a lot of flappy skin around his neck. It's really unattractive (shhhh don't tell him). I am wondering if this will look better or worse with a wider collar? He has a 1 inch wide collar now and I am consider a 1 1/2 inch wide collar. The 2 inch collars just look sooo big but maybe it would be better? Is the loose skin any consideration for why people go with wider collars? I would like to buy one of those really nice collars from Ella's Lead, for example. But its an expense I'd like to be sure about on the width.
