Hi there I'm new to this forum, but I have a 12 week old blue pit bull that has been showing some alarming signs of food aggression. He will growl at me and my fiance if we pet him while he's eating from his food bowl. He also becomes very aggressive and protective when we give him a bone. I want to break him of this behavior as we will be having children soon. He also has been barking at other leashed dogs in our neighborhood when passing, as well as his hair standing up on his back. My parents have a female pit that he plays with often and hard at times. Maybe we need to socialize him more...taking him to dog parks?
