I'm going to pick up my pit bull puppy next week and one of my main concerns is when to get him, ahem, chopped....
I've heard many varying theories on it reducing dog aggression later, which is a concern in pit bulls, and also something about getting the chopped before or after puberty changing how big they may or may not grow to be. I live in a very dog friendly town, with friendly dogs too, to the point of a lot of dogs just walking down the street no leash and nobody cares. I myself am cautious and always will have him leashed, but I want him to be able to enjoy the many friends he can make here and if chopping earlier or later will help, i'd love to know!
