Hello,
I recently had my 13 year old champion blue fawn female Charmin put down about a month ago. Since then I've gotten a 10 week old puppy who would be her great great nephew Jackson "Jack". He's a blue male from champion lines, who will also be a show dog as well. He is a very happy, obedient boy and while I still hurt greatly from losing my soul mate he has truly been a god send. Although I raised Charmin since she was a puppy after 13 years it really feels brand new again lol. He has had two sets of shots from the breeder and has also been given 2 rounds of Pyrantel wormer. He is being fed Noutri-Souce large breed puppy food. I had my last dog on the same brand but it was no-grain as she had life long ear allergies. I've had him for two weeks now and he's growing like a weed lol. I will be taking him to the vet in the next week for an exam and fecal test.
First question is how do you feel about Noutri-Source large breed puppy food?
And has anyone else used Pyrantel wormer?
Also, his stools have always been nice and solid but the breeder said it looks a little grainy. Anyone elaborate on this? I believe it to be the food as I think I recall Charmin's appearing a little grainy as well.
The breeder is very experienced. I got my first dog Charmin from her. She breeds champions and breeds them for confirmation and movement. This litter however was bread back to a bully breed. But the mother is a standard Pit Bull so excited to see what he looks like in a month or so. And although his shots are current and he's being wormed I feel that a trip to the vet is warranted. I will leave some pics although the ones here on my laptop are a week or two old he's obviously bigger. He has slimmed down a little, lost that pot belly but not too thin and his muscles are really starting to develop. Thanks so much!
