I have a friend with a male bull breed dog named Tyson. He gets along with other dogs male and female, however if challenged he will not back down and will fight. But in general he is calm and tolerant of other dogs, and plays well as long as the play doesn't cross that line.
I won't let my dogs around him as I have witnessed a fight break out with him and another bully and it was scary. If they hadn't rolled into a lake I don't think we would have been able to separate them.
Anyway's this got me wondering when a dog should be considered to be dog aggressive. Do they have to be the aggressor? Or would a dog that is 99% of the time non aggressive, however when challenged will fight and fight hard, be considered DA as well?
