Hi guys, I have a beautiful American bully named Leo. We got him at 5 wks old and he is now 9 months old. He can play a little rough sometimes but is really a big sweetheart. Still working with him on getting so excited and jumping. But we know he will get it. Very pleased with him overall!
Heres where I need some advice. 2 weeks ago a little dog in our neighborhood was hit by a car and left to fend for herself. We rescued her and rushed her to the vet and she is now in our care. Sweet little rat terrier/chihuahua mix. Her pelvic bone is broken and she has about 4 more weeks of healing ahead of her. For now she is confined to her crate with lots of love and potty breaks. But when she is able to be out and about in our home, what is the best way to make sure she and Leo can be buddies? And maybe they won't at all, but I want to be hopeful! They sniff each other thru a baby gate I have set up so they can visit and get used to eachother but beyond that, I'm not sure the best way to handle it so Leo still feels loved and Lola fits in once she doesn't have to be confined anymore. Btw-we DID get permission to adopt lola. Her owners didn't want her. She was always in the street and not cared for. They signed her over to us and we have spoiled her since :)
