Up until mid January Dakota was eating Kirkland Salmon and Sweet Potato blend. She was pooping A LOT. Like upwards of ten times a day. Anyways, they changed the formula to that food and it started making her sick, and I'm making slightly more money now than I was when I got her, so I decided to switch to Acana. She's been on 100% Acana for little while and she doesn't seem to be under any digestive distress, but she's only pooping twice a day now.
FOr example, after supper on Kirkland we would go out after 30 minutes, she would poop. Our evening walk: she would poop. Sometimes twice. The last potty break before bed: she would poop. None of them were an alarming consistency, so I thought it was normal.
The last couple days I feed her supper, take her out after supper: Nothing. Walk: Nada. Bedtime break: Zilch. Sometimes not even in the morning before I go to work. On those days she goes in her kennel while I'm at work.
Is this normal with a switch to a better quality food? Or should I be on my way to a vet?
