Newark, Ohio council to vote on repealing BSL (sharks on land)

The city I live in is attempting to have the breed specific legislation removed from the language. I have tried this before and was unsuccessful, so I am not really doing anything other than providing anyone with information or experience I had from the past attempts. The council is one of the most ignorant and will not accept the fact that "pit bull" is not a breed. I hope they get it passed, but they are up against some real ignorant people who really want this law to stand, why? I have no idea. There is nothing in our city that indicates a massive problem with "pit bulls" and when and if there is, it is the owner. Here are some articles.
