I have a 4ish year old female pit who is a wonderful dog. I rescued her around 3 years ago from some people who had beaten and used her as an ashtray. A little over 2 months ago she gave birth to a litter of puppies. One of which we kept and adopted the others out to families. I also have a 1 year old daughter who loves the dog very much, but the dog has become slightly aggressive towards my daughter. She hasn't bitten her bit she has growled and gone as far as to snap at her. I don't fully understand why she is doing this, she has never done this towards my wife or I. I know too that my daughter hasn't done anything to antagonize this behavior. We watch very closely to make sure that when she is with the dogs she does not strike or pull on them. I am at a loss of what to do, I love the dog and worked very hard to rehabilitate her but I am worried about the safety of my daughter. Any input would be greatly appropriated.
